1 1/2 oz Spiced Rum
3/4 oz Triple Sec
3/4 oz Lime Juice
1/3 oz Simple Syrup
Orange Peel.
Boxcutters, Jigger, Shaker Classic/Boston, Citrus Juicer, Strainer, Coupe Glass.
Combine Rum, Triple Sec, Lime Juice, and Simple Syrup in a Cocktail Shaker.
Add fresh Ice and shake for 10 seconds; this mixes and chills the cocktail.
Double strain into a coupe glass. (Double strain instructions = strain using hawthorne strainer over a fine mesh strainer and into the glass. This ensures no lime pulp or ice pieces make their way into the cocktail).
Cut a swath of Orange peel- express oils over the cocktail and rub the peel around rim of glass. Drop into the glass to garnish.
