2 oz Rye Whiskey
3/4 oz Fernet
3/4 oz Simple Syrup
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 Thin Strips Orange Zest
Boxcutters, Jigger, Mixing-glass, Citrus Juicer, Strainer, Stirrer (long Spoon), Martini Glass.
Fill a small pitcher halfway with ice. Add the Whiskey, Fernet, Simple Syrup, and Bitters. Stir continuously for about a minute, until the mixture is well-chilled.
Strain into Martini Glass and add a strip of orange peel to each cocktail.
