2 oz Light Rum
1 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Grenadine
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
1/2 oz Soda
Lemon twist.

Boxcutters, Teaspoons, Jigger, Shaker Classic/Boston, Citrus Juicer, Strainer, Martini Glass.

Add the Rum, Lemon Juice, Grenadine, and Simple Syrup to a cocktail Shaker half-filled with ice. Shake enthusiastically until well chilled (20 or 30 seconds).
Strain into a Martini Glass. Carefully pour in the Soda. Stir once to incorporate the water (although this isn't strictly necessary). Garnish with a lemon twist, if using, and serve.
